Fenghuang Coloring Page · 凤凰填色画
The Fenghuang is the king of birds in Chinese mythology, a radiant phoenix of grace, virtue, and rebirth. With the head of a pheasant, the back of a tortoise, the beak of a parrot, and flowing tail feathers of five sacred colors, it embodies the five virtues of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and sincerity. The Fenghuang appears only in times of peace and prosperity, blessing the world with harmony. It is the counterpart of the dragon, together symbolizing the union of yin and yang and of empress and emperor. Its feathers blaze with flame-like patterns, and its song is said to bring good fortune wherever it is heard.
